I started off only knowing the treble clef and the names of keys on piano, and now I know the bass and treble clef, whole notes through 16th notes, ties and slurs, dotted notes, scales, and tons of music vocabulary. Katie is really patient and kind. If you don’t get something; instead of making you feel bad about not knowing, she can put it into terms you can understand. Katie also keeps you at a good pace to get you through the books. I’m already on my fifth one and currently playing harder songs I never thought I would be able to play! She is good at getting you excited to play piano and even excited to practice your new skills. I highly recommend Katie as your music teacher.”
