What is My Teaching Philosophy?

I believe that music should be fun and enjoyable. Therefore, I try to make piano lessons fun, by using colorful markers and stickers for beginners, and using creative techniques to motivate and inspire students. It is my goal to instill a love of music in my students.

I want students to play musically, not only by playing the correct notes, but playing with the right techniques and correct dynamics.

I also believe that students should be able to use what they have learned. I usually have recitals twice a year and encourage them to perform for family and friends and play at church.

In our generation, there is a great need for good influences. As a teacher, I strive to be a good example, develop good character in my life, and motivate students to do right.
